Taketo Tanigaki is a partner of the firm. Mr. Tanigaki’s practice focuses on general corporate, finance and banking, M&A, real estate, and litigation and arbitration.

Mr. Tanigaki has represented companies in a variety of industry sectors, including: a bank in lawsuits arising from the sale of financial instruments; construction companies in lawsuits and ADR proceedings concerning alleged defects of construction or disputes with neighboring residents; officers of a major bank in shareholder derivative suits; and a national harbor labor-related association in complex litigation involving pensions of retired longshoremen.

Mr. Tanigaki regularly advises banks and other financial institutions, construction companies, and other manufacturing companies. He serves as a member of the construction review council of a local government in Tokyo. Mr. Tanigaki has published articles in the areas of corporate restructuring and risk management.

Mr. Tanigaki was admitted to the Bar of Japan in 1992. He joined Ishii Law Office in 1992 and became a partner in 2002. He received an LL.B. degree from Kyoto University in 1990. He worked at the Inspection Bureau of the Financial Supervisory Agency (currently Financial Services Agency) from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Tanigaki is a member of the Daini Tokyo Bar Association and the Japan Federation of Bar Associations.
